David Friedman’s Policy of Jewish Lebensraum

David Friedman’s Policy of Jewish Lebensraum

David Friedman, Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump

Donald Trump’s nomination of David Friedman for American Ambassador to Israel might as well be a declaration of war against Palestinians, Arab-Israelis, Arabs and Muslims. Friedman is so far to the right of even the Israeli right-wing mainstream that his influence alone may instigate a war that is in nobody’s interests.

For background on what Friedman and the so-called settlers—read them as colonists—believe and aspire to, first read my past blogs:

Visions of a fanatic…what guys like David Friedman think should be a back to the future reality

http://janbtucker.com/blog/2012/11/16/mythology-of-secession/ [See my explanation of the diplomatic terminology of “Occupation” and “Annexation” in the context of international law]

As Wikipedia explains:

Military occupation is effective provisional control of a certain ruling power over a territory which is not under the formal sovereignty of that entity, without the volition of the actual sovereign.[1][2][3][4] Military occupation is distinguished from annexation by its intended temporary nature (i.e. no claim for permanent sovereignty), by its military nature, and by citizenship rights of the controlling power not being conferred upon the subjugated population.[2][5][6][7]

It is very important to read in detail what Wikipedia has to say about “Occupation” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_occupation and pay special attention to what the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal decided about Occupied territories:

For example, in 1948 the U.S. Military Tribunal in Nuremberg states:

In belligerent occupation the occupying power does not hold enemy territory by virtue of any legal right. On the contrary, it merely exercises a precarious and temporary actual control. This can be seen from Article 42 of the Hague Regulations which grants certain well limited rights to a military occupant only in enemy territory which is ‘actually placed’ under his control. Why did the Nuremberg Tribunal lay out these policies? To counter the Nazi policy of Lebensraum. Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebensraum] explains:

The Nazis plan for the East stated that the natives were to be killed, deported, or enslaved, such as the Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and other Slavic populations, whom they considered inferior, and to repopulate the land with Germanic people.[5][6][7] The entire urban population was to be exterminated by starvation, thus creating an agricultural surplus to feed Germany and allowing their replacement by a German upper class.[5] The Nazis insisted that Lebensraum needed to be developed as racially homogeneous to avoid intermixing with peoples deemed to be part of inferior races.[8] As such, peoples deemed to be part of inferior races living within territory selected to be Lebensraum were subject to expulsion or destruction.[6] The eugenics of Lebensraum explicitly assumed the racial superiority of Germans as an Aryan master race (Herrenvolk), who, by virtue of their superiority (physical, mental, genetic) had the right to displace any people they deemed to be Untermenschen (subhumans) of inferior racial stock.[6] Nazi Germany also supported other nations’ pursuing their own Lebensraum, including Fascist Italy’s Spazio vitale.[9]

According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz Trump’s long time bankruptcy lawyer David Friedman, has also been his senior foreign policy adviser vis a vis Israel. An ardent fundraiser through his own non-profits for West Bank Jewish “settlements” – all of which are illegal under international law- Friedman has been described as being well to the right of Netanyahu. Basically he belongs to the fanatics of the Israel on both sides of the Jordan crowd who believe that god gave the Jews everything they ever controlled in Old Testament days and that the Jews must now reclaim those lands. This is the nut that Trump wants to be American ambassador to Israel whose first mission is to move the Embassy to Jerusalem, a move likely to start a new “Intifada.” Speaking in Israel during the summer, Haaretz reported that:

… Friedman promised that “a Trump administration will never pressure Israel into a two-state solution or any other solution that is against the will of the Israeli people” because “they know what’s best for themselves.”

Friedman’s influence over Trump also explains the ascendancy of John Bolton in the new administration. Less to do with Bolton’s seeming differences with Trump over Russia and more to do with his direct fundraising support for Friedman and the settlements:

Some serious issues emerge from Friedman’s fundraising activities as to whether he’s even minimally qualified to be an Ambassador. They are similar to Trump’s own issues that I raised at http://janbtucker.com/blog/2016/11/10/trumps-embezzlement-of-foundation-funds/

  • Why hasn’t New York chartered American Friends of Bet-El Yeshiva Center filed a return with the New York Charities Bureau since 2011….and why hasn’t the New York Attorney General done anything about it?

  • What is the relationship between 501(c)(3) American Friends of Bet-El Yeshiva Center and what appears to be an unincorporated fundraising entity (New York has no record of it) “American Friends of Bet El Institutions” (which did the John Bolton fundraiser)?

  • Will David Friedman resign as President of the 501(c)(3) when he becomes Ambassador?

  • Why does American Friends of Bet-El Yeshiva Center have only three directors (its officers)?
